As surfing grows, more riders unknowingly rely on waxes based with paraffin, petroleum jelly, and other petroleum derivatives. These ingredients break down into the water, contributing to marine pollution and harming the ecosystems our sport depends on.
Lax Wax takes a different approach. Our eco surf wax is hand-poured with natural ingredients like beeswax and coconut oil — delivering reliable performance while minimizing environmental impact.
Meet Levi
I’m Levi — welcome to the beginning of my passion project Lax Wax.
I grew up in North County San Diego as a multi-sport athlete, always drawn to the coast. After high school, I dedicated much more of my time to surfing throughout college with the rest of the free time I had reserved for sports.
I went on to graduate from California State University San Marcos with a degree in Marketing, where I developed a passion for digital marketing and building creative projects from the ground up.
Lax Wax started as a college project, but it quickly became something much more meaningful. After dedicating a lot of time researching surfboard wax, I learned most waxes on the market are made with petroleum ingredients and synthetic resins that ultimately end up in the ocean. With Lax Wax, I realized I wanted to give back to a sport that’s given me so many good memories by creating something genuine and authentic — offering my own home-made, hand-poured eco surf wax as alternative to the mainstream waxes that harm our oceans.
Lax Wax is my way bringing something real to the community.
